I believe that the current conventional education system will be disrupted in the future. A most probable alternative is reversion to an apprenticeship model, where people learn a craft and then directly apply it, rather than spending 6-8 years in the academia to become an "expert" in a field. We are seeing glimpses of it in the form of coding bootcamps, where people from diverse background learn web development within 3 months to get a job as a software developer. However, coding bootcamps are good for the initial training of software engineers, like an undergrad. There has to be a tool where beginner software developers can become experts. A graduate school version of online bootcamps, where the focus is on the depth of knowledge rather than the breath of knowledge. This is what fcomplexity hopes to achieve. Fcomplexity will provide a platform where engineers will be able to not only learn esoteric features of a particular tool but also repeatedly practice them.
